Christianity And Grace

Christianity And Grace

In Genesis 35:4, the bible says "And they gave unto Jacob all the strange gods which were in their hand, and all their earrings which were in their ears; and Jacob hid them under the oak which was by Shechem."

Now, if earrings were 'strange gods' that were put away before Jacob and his household could meet with God in Genesis 35:4, has it now become a 'familiar god' in the ears of today Christians, all in the name of being under grace according to Romans 6:14?
Is your using of earrings and other rings today not also a fact that 'sin has dominion over you' according to the same Romans 6:14, even though you are under grace? Judge yourself!!!
Romans 6:14 "For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace."

Does 'grace' overlooked disobedience (sin) against the word of God, in making the Old Testament bible age of none effect, irrelevant, null and void, in the face of the New Testament bible age under grace?
Romans 6:1 "What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid."

I do hear majority of our big time pastors always saying 'God cannot/has not changed', which is the truth according to Malachi 3:6 which says "For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."

However, does this 'God cannot change' only applies to HIS promises of blessings, promotion, favours, healings, prosperity in the Old Testament bible, thereby living the rest outdated, even though the word of God (Old and New Testament) cannot pass away?
Matthew 24:35 "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away."

Should this be the case, then you have broken the word of God which says "for thou (God) hast magnified thy word above all thy name."
Psalms 138:2 "I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name."

Brethren, this God that magnified HIS word above ALL HIS NAME is a consuming fire Deuteronomy 4:24. HE is also a God that it is a fearful thing to fall into HIS hands Hebrews 10:31. HE is a God that judge in righteousness Revelation 19:11, Acts 17:31, and HE respect nobody's personality before taking HIS decision Acts 10:34, 2 Chronicles 19:7. I pray, may you never fall into the hands of this Mighty God for condemnation in Jesus name. Amen.

To therefore hide under grace in order to disobey God's word means you are living/walking in the flesh and at such, you are just playing a religious card and you can never please God Romans 8:8 because, the flesh can never submit to the law of God Romans 8:7.

You should therefore ask yourself: Does grace means the freedom to do anything you so desired at any given time as a Christian?

Shalom!
