Does Not Using Jewelries, Makeup And Wearing Trousers Means Holiness? This message was dropped in my spirit some few days ago.
Text: James 2:19 Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Many a time, a lot of us Christians are quick to conclude that, a brother or a sister is a born again Christian, judging by their physical appearance of not using jewelries, makeup, attachment, weave-on, mini skirt, spaghetti, high heels, and wearing trouser as a woman. If this is your definition of being born again, I am sorry you have a very big problem in your hand. Look, unless the Master Jesus Christ steps in to help you, you may be destroyed in your ignorance. Be wise.
Our text declared that "the devil also believe" that there's one God. Brethren, this goes to show us that, some of the people you are calling brother and sister in the Lord, based on their outward appearance of being free from worldly look may be devil's incarnate without you knowing it. This is why it is very important and necessary to be filled with the Holy Spirit at all times, so that you will be able to discern pretending Christians (goats) from the TRUE CHRISTIANS (sheep) Matthew 25:31-33.
The word of God declared "rend your heart and not your garment" Joel 2:13. God is more interested in the inside of the heart because, when a clean heart is created and a right spirit renewed within you Psalms 51:10, your outside will demonstrate it by bringing forth that which is good Luke 6:45. Moreover, the teaching of Jesus Christ in Luke 11:37-41, will bring you better understanding. 37 "When Jesus had finished speaking, a Pharisee invited him to eat with him; so he went in and reclined at the table. 38 But the Pharisee, noticing that Jesus did not first wash before the meal, was surprised. 39 Then the Lord said to him, "Now then, you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness. 40 You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also? 41 But give what is inside [the dish] to the poor, and everything will be clean for you." NIV.
The bible says "Therefore also now, saith the LORD, turn ye even to me with all your heart", "And rend your heart, and not your garments" Joel 2:12-13. Now, due to the fact that the intentions and motives of the heart can easily be covered with a godly look outside, you tends to identify a wicked man in the inside as a righteous man on the outside. However, a heart that have been rend truly with the word of God cannot behave otherwise on the outside.
Although the bible classified the heart as "deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked" Jeremiah 17:9, "and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually" Genesis 6:5, "for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth Genesis 8:21, this same heart can also sort after God's own heart to fulfil God's will Acts 13:22. So, don't write off any perceived wicked man today as such a one can become the greatest asset in the hands of God tomorrow. Paul the Apostle is a typical example here 1 Timothy 1:15.
From the foregoing, it will suffice to make it clear that, if you are truly born again John 3:5-7, everything about you MUST CHANGE. From your language to your dressing, your friends to your likes, everything must change.
In 2 Corinthians 5:17, the bible says "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." Child of God, you can't be termed a new creature when your old sinful nature (flesh) have refused to die, so that your new man (Spirit) can take charge Galatians 5:16-17, Romans 8:5-9. There must be a visible and noticeable changes in your conducts and actions on a daily basis. The world's system will no longer become your fashion except you are pretending to be born again when you are truly BORN AGAINST IN PRACTICE. Examine yourselves now.
Over the years and in the churches, you find people who claims to be Christians wearing earrings, jewelries, mini skirts, bangles, light and heavy makeup, weavon, attachment, punking hairstyle, wearing trousers as a woman, necklaces, wedding rings, eyelashes, artificial finger nails, high heels, spaghetti, women opening their hair while ministering, and every other things and yet, they can preach, sing very well, prophesy, perform great signs and wonder, move mountains as a prayer warrior, usher excellently and do much more. Ordinarily, you may be confused and may even conclude that God may not be interested on our physical appearance after all. My brethren, any man, any woman that have these things on his/her body WILL NEVER MAKE HEAVEN, no matter how holy such a one may think he/she is in the things of God. If you have these things on you right now, please remove them from your bodies and destroy them for your own good. Don't say you weren't warn.
Nevertheless, never you make any mistake on this matter. If you like, cover your face with your head tie, wear long skirts, wear long sleeves shirts, don't plait or weave your hair, don't wear short knickers under your long skirts, wear only flat shoes, and other decent and godly dresses, THESE ACTIONS OF YOURS ARE NEVER A TICKET FOR YOU TO MAKE HEAVEN. This is only a sign that you have had an encounter with Jesus but, never a proof that you are truly born again. You can still land in hell fire when you harbours wickedness in your heart, while covering it with a godly form of dressing and appearance on the outside.
May the Holy Spirit interpret this teaching to your heart today in Jesus name. Amen.
Remember, Jesus Christ came to set you free from the cause of death. Therefore, don't die for the sins Jesus has already paid for in full with His own blood, when He died on the cross after declaring "It is finished" John 19:30.
