And You Shall Obtain Mercy Today In Jesus Name Amen

Text: Luke 23:40 “But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God, seeing thou art in the same condemnation?

 41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but this man hath done nothing amiss.

 42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy kingdom.

 43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”

A lot of our brethren today are in self condemnation and imprisonment of their soul in the prison called fear. Most of brethren thought that immediately their secret sins are confessed and exposed and people get to know about them, they will think that their reputation, integrity and position in the society will be eroded simply because people that once held them in high esteem may start to look them with disdain, disrespect or disregard them totally. This is nothing but pride which you needed to repent from urgently, because you are enslaving yourself to sin.

This self enslavement to the power of sin is responsible for your rising and falling in the LORD today as a Christian because the Bible says “Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, HIS SERVANTS YE ARE TO WHOM YE OBEY; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness? Romans 6:16. The awful result of every unconfessed and unrepented sin is that it is deadly, for the soul of such a fellow will ultimately be damned in hell fire.

James 1:13 “Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man: 14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. 15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death. 16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.”

The mercy of GOD which you needed so much in your life is ONLY available to those that are ready to be shamed as a result of their sin, ridicule for choosing to live right and hated for exposing the secret and evil things he committed. But to you that is afraid of what might happen to you when you confess your sins, or ashamed that those who ones respected you might start to look down on you, well you’ve succeeded in driving far away from you the mercy of GOD.

Proverbs 28:13 “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: BUT WHOSO CONFESSETH AND FORSAKETH THEM SHALL HAVE MERCY.”

When the Bible speaks of death, in most cases it is speaking about ‘eternal death’ in hell fire. For example in Ezekiel 18:4 and 20, the Bible says “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.” For lack of the understanding that this passage of the scriptures present, even the most enlightened and most intelligent among the Christian folks are quick to conclude that all the Bible speak here is ‘physical death’. This is never speaking about physical death brethren but eternal death in hell fire.

Physical death is a state that every living thing (man and beast) on the surface of the earth that has breath in their nostrils must taste. Ecclesiastes 3:19 “For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity.” To this end, Psalms 89:48 then asked: “What man is he that liveth, and shall not see death? (physical death) shall he deliver his soul from the hand of the grave?” Sir, ma, you and I will surely die some day! The ones that will be privileged to escape it are the Christians (true born again indeed) that will be found worthy when JESUS CHRIST Our Master shall return to take these holy Christians home in the rapture 1 Thessalonians 4:17. Matthew 16:28 “Verily I say unto you, THERE BE SOME STANDING HERE, WHICH SHALL NOT TASTE OF DEATH (physical death), till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.” Since the creation of man upon this earth, it is only two saints that has had this undying experience and they flew alive to heaven, instead of dying physically first.

These two privileged saints so far are Enoch and Elijah. What a rare privilege!

Genesis 5:22 “And Enoch walked with God after he begat Methuselah three hundred years, and begat sons and daughters: 23 And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: 24 And Enoch walked with God: AND HE WAS NOT; FOR GOD TOOK HIM.”

2 Kings 2:9 “And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me. 10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so. 11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; AND ELIJAH WENT UP BY A WHIRLWIND INTO HEAVEN.”

Even Our LORD and saviour JESUS CHRIST, although He was GOD that became flesh (man) “And the Word (GOD) was made flesh (man), and dwelt among us John 1:14, Romans 1:3; Galatians 4:4; Colossians 2:9; 1 Timothy 3:16; Hebrews 2:14,16-17, He had to taste physical death for you and me to be saved today Hebrews 2:9. So physical death should never be a thing you should be afraid of, whichever way, however, wherever or whenever it comes. You should always prepare for it as this will help you as a Christian to be conscious of the things happening around you, which will go a long way helping you never to commit any sin against GOD, so that your hope of dwelling in heaven will not be truncated. Just ensure that your ways are right with GOD in your death so that you can make it to eternity in heaven because, whether you like it or not, you shall die one day out of this world.

And should you die this very minute, which part of eternity are you going to wake up? Will it be in heaven, or in hell fire? It is you that owns the key of decision of your preferred eternal destination in your hands. Use it wisely today! Amen.

Paul understood this message of physical death so much that he concluded and declared that as far as he would live on the earth, CHRIST shall be all and all for him, and when he dies out of this earth, what a wonderful gain. How many of us can take this same stand of Apostle Paul today in the presence of cravings for undue wealth and favours in this wicked world? He thus said “For me to live is Christ, AND TO DIE IS GAIN” Philippians 1:21 because, the man that is dead cannot sin again. Romans 6:7 “FOR HE THAT IS DEAD IS FREED FROM SIN.” 1 Peter 4:1 “Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered (died) for us in the flesh, arm yourselves likewise with the same mind: FOR HE THAT HATH SUFFERED (died) IN THE FLESH HATH CEASED FROM SIN.” Hallelujah!

However a lot of people are carrying themselves in this corrupt and wicked world today as if they won’t die at all. They lust for every single thing here thinking that their acquisition of these earthly things is paramount or may even prevent them from tasting death. What a misplaced idea!!

The rich lawyer couldn’t follow JESUS because the treasure he placed on his riches beclouded him from ever remembering that he will die one day Matthew 19:16-23. And when death comes, it will surely be too late to repent and confess your sins Hebrews 9:27. Please repent of all your sins now before you will die. Amen.

THE THIEF ON THE CROSS

The thief caught and arrested while stealing, judged, convicted and condemned by the law court to be hanged, imprisoned waiting for the day of his execution, and finally executed alongside with JESUS on the right hand of JESUS CHRIST cross, obtained mercy just few seconds before his death and made it straight to the paradise of heaven with Our Master gloriously. He was executed a criminal but died a saint. Hallelujah! He was convicted and executed a sinner but grace and mercy located him at the point of death and he woke up in eternity in heaven redeemed. Praise GOD!

 Brethren this was made possible because he simply acknowledged his sins when he declared and rebuked his partner in crime for his wicked utterances against JESUS “DOST NOT THOU FEAR GOD, SEEING THOU ART IN THE SAME CONDEMNATION? AND WE INDEED JUSTLY; FOR WE RECEIVE THE DUE REWARD OF OUR DEEDS” Luke 23:40-41, pointing out to his fellow criminal friend that the punishment they were facing at that time was a JUST CASE because they truly deserved it after working for it all their lives.

Friend this executed thief went further to grab an open cheque he was offered by acknowledging JESUS as his LORD and saviour. Luke 23:42 “AND HE SAID UNTO JESUS, LORD, REMEMBER ME WHEN THOU COMEST INTO THY KINGDOM.”  The Bible says “BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED” Acts 16:31. He believed by acknowledging JESUS CHRIST as LORD, and he gained the attention of heaven at that critical moment of his life and he was saved. Amen.

Men and brethren, at this point he realized also that for him to escape the torments of hell fire awaiting him in few minutes time, was to ask for mercy from the one and only GOD that chooses those He will have mercy on Exodus 33:19. He said unto JESUS, “LORD, REMEMBER ME” and he was remembered. Ah! As I am sobbing right now in writing this place, may you obtain the everlasting mercy of GOD in your life in JESUS name. Amen.

He asked for the mercy of GOD and he got it in a platter of gold Luke 23:43. LORD may I and my households obtain your everlasting mercy today in JESUS name. Amen. May all your children reading this post right now obtain your everlasting mercy in JESUS name. Amen. You can only believe in the heart unto righteousness, but if you want to be saved and forgiven, YOU MUST CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH. That is the position of GOD.

Romans 10:9 “THAT IF THOU SHALT CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH THE LORD JESUS, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; AND WITH THE MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION.” James 5:16 “CONFESS YOUR FAULTS ONE TO ANOTHER, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” Will you confess your sins to obtain the mercy of GOD today? Please don’t ignore that still small voice speaking to your heart right now. Amen.

The only thing that will stop you from accessing the mercy of GOD is for you to keep on hardening your heart after reading this message. Hebrews 4:7 “Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, TO DAY, after so long a time; as it is said, TO DAY IF YE WILL HEAR HIS VOICE, HARDEN NOT YOUR HEARTS.” Please stop hardening your heart. Repent of your sins and confess them out even though it may not be convenient. Do it now because tomorrow might be too late.

YOU SHALL OBTAIN MERCY TODAY

I, Lugard Osakpamwan Ekhator, who by the grace and mercies of GOD is declaring the word of GOD to you now, was once a terrible fellow. If the mercy of GOD could locate me, wait, it is already on your way right now to bring you out of the horrible pit, out of the miry clay, to plant your feet upon the rock and to establish your goings Psalms 40:2 in JESUS name. Amen.

I was once a fornicator, a masturbator, a cheat, very wicked and stubborn, reckless and proud, lying at every circumstances, stealing from my mother’s pot of soup, mixed sand into tapped rubber liquid to enhance weight, make sacrifices to evil spirits, nursing wicked thoughts in my heart of sleeping with insects if it were possible, falsified receipts in other to cheat, in fact, which wickedness I didn’t involve myself in?

But today, old things have truly passed away when I came to CHRIST, and now the mercy of GOD has located me. 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” All glory be to the LORD in the highest. Hallelujah!

If you must obtain GOD’S mercy just as I have gotten it by His grace, you must not consider yourself to be anything before the LORD Galatians 6:3. You must be ready and willing to obey the LORD, even when it is most difficult Ecclesiastes 12:13. You must separate yourself from the world 2 Corinthians 6:14-18. You must truly and sincerely seek GOD’S mercy Hebrews 4:16. You must damn all the consequences your confessing of sins may produce and be ready to face persecution 2 Timothy 3:12. You must rely on the saving grace of JESUS CHRIST because you cannot help yourself Mark 9:24. Do it now for tomorrow is not in your power Proverbs 27:1.

When you do these things and others, the mercy of GOD is surely at your doorstep.
