Familiarity With God??? The Reason For Your Limiting God’s Endless Abilities

Text: Isaiah 40:12 “Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?  13 Who hath directed the Spirit of the LORD, or being his counsellor hath taught him? 14 With whom took he counsel, and who instructed him, and taught him in the path of judgment, and taught him knowledge, and shewed to him the way of understanding?”

Romans 11:33 “O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! 34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor? 35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again? 36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.”

Job 11:7 “Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto perfection? 8 It is as high as heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know?  9 The measure thereof is longer than the earth, and broader than the sea. 10 If he cut off, and shut up, or gather together, then who can hinder him? 11 For he knoweth vain men: he seeth wickedness also; will he not then consider it? 12 For vain man would be wise, though man be born like a wild ass's colt.”

It came to a time that Moses became too familiar with the Almighty God. Due to the fact that he has been having conversation with God on a face to face basis discussion (though he was not seeing God’s face) as he could feel the presence of God around him and hearing the Almighty God voice distinctly, he became used to it Exodus 33:11. So Moses felt that ‘I have known God enough by hearing HIS voice and therefore, a new face of identity must be employed to further solidify my knowledge about this God whose voice I am always hearing.’ What did Moses do?

Moses then told God: “LORD God Almighty, I have known you by hearing your voice. Please show me your glory, at least to be really sure that I have found grace in thy sight” Exodus 33:17. Well, I think Moses desire was a genuine one since all he was interested at that time was ‘be sure of God’s grace in his life.’ When the Almighty God confronted him if he was truly sure about his desires, Moses replied God in the affirmative but God insisted that HE will only show Moses HIS back Exodus 33:23 because, “Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live” Exodus 33:20.

Paul said in Philippians 3: 9 “And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith: 10 THAT I MAY KNOW HIM, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; 11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.”

God has always desire that HIS children will come to know HIM for who HE is. I wonder why the children of God seem not to know God again. Is it because we are now too familiar with HIM? Should this be the case then, this is the singular fact that is responsible for our limiting the unlimited God with our human knowledge. I pray the LORD will have mercy on us today in Jesus name. Amen.

MY WAYS AND THOUGHTS ARE HIGHER THAN YOURS

Isaiah 55:9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Do you know that even though some men knew that God’s ways and thoughts are far higher than theirs that they end up restricting God’s abilities to what their acquired book knowledge taught them, painting it as though it is what God knowledge taught them? Ask yourself: Why should any supposed pastor who claims to be hearing from God at every given point in time, not equally hear the voice of God before their rejection of any supposed message from God? Answer: They’ve known God enough that except and unless God spoke through them, every other supposed voice of God is the voice of the devil. Familiarity at play! May God forgive these men their sins today in Jesus name. Amen.

THREE NIGERIAN PASTORS WITH A FAMILIARITY OF GOD’S KNOWLEDGE RUNNING IN THEIR SYSTEM

1 John 4:1 “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”

1 John 2: 18 “Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.”

Matthew 24: 4 “And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. 5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.”

1 Thessalonians 5: 21 “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”

Acts 20: 30 “Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.”

2 Peter 2: 1 “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of.”

1 Timothy 4: 1 “Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils.”

Jeremiah 29: 8 “For thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Let not your prophets and your diviners, that be in the midst of you, deceive you, neither hearken to your dreams which ye cause to be dreamed. 9 For they prophesy falsely unto you in my name: I have not sent them, saith the LORD.”

2 Corinthians 11:14 “And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.”

From the passages above, we have been armed with enough materials to ascertain what a false and lying spirit may represent. However, the three Nigerian pastors to be mentioned here, NONE OF THEM ever said ‘after my fasting and prayer’, or ‘God spoke to me’, or ‘their message broke the scriptures and therefore should be rejected’, in their attempts to discredit these supposed messages from God. They all spoke from their human mind judging spiritual matters with a carnal mind. What a pity!

You can compare a spiritual matter with a spiritual mind. 1 Corinthians 2:13 “Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.”

1. PASTOR E. A. ADEBOYE

In his rejection of a supposed message from God to himself and his Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), he simply said: “Don’t pay attention”.

Now, what was the basis of Pastor Adeboye asking his members not to pay attention? He said ‘my God has not changed.’ Does this ‘my God has not changed’ apply to mean that God is incapable of sending message to people using unqualified/unimaginable means and approach? How much of God abilities does Pastor Adeboye know that can make him to restrict the impossible working God to a mere figurehead? Is God therefore limited by time, space, power, ability, knowledge, wisdom, as men do?

The citation of RCCG is Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”

Does this then apply that God is known for doing the same thing over and over again, since HE is the same yesterday, today and for ever? Should this be the case then, this bible verse ISAIAH 43:19 should be deleted at least from RCCG members’ bibles, so as to make Hebrews 13:8 really fit.

Isaiah 43:19 “BEHOLD, I WILL DO A NEW THING; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” May God help us not to be misled by mere men in Jesus name. Amen.

2. PASTOR W. F. KUMUYI

Although Pastor Kumuyi cannot be said to have rejected the purported messages from God but, his reaction speak of limiting and restricting the Almighty God ability to the written word (bible) only. He simply said: “These people are liars.”

What informed Pastor Kumuyi’s position? He said ‘the bible should be our basis and standard, not any revelation.’ First and foremost, it seems that Pastor Kumuyi has lost sight of how the written word (bible) came to be. The whole bible from Genesis to Revelation came by ‘revelations.’ 2 Peter 1: 19 “We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 KNOWING THIS FIRST, THAT NO PROPHECY OF THE SCRIPTURE IS OF ANY PRIVATE INTERPRETATION. 21 FOR THE PROPHECY CAME NOT IN OLD TIME BY THE WILL OF MAN: BUT HOLY MEN OF GOD SPAKE AS THEY WERE MOVED BY THE HOLY GHOST.”

If the written word (bible) of God came by revelation throughout the scriptures, why should it become impossible for God to reveal HIS mind to us today by revelation through divine encounters? Even at that, the bible says not all the things written are all the revelation that came. The works that Jesus did after HIS resurrection which are not recorded in the bible according to John is a perfect example. John 21:25 “And there are also many other things which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.” So, how do we account for these things that are not written? Even John the beloved and Prophet Daniel had similar circumstances. Revelation 10:4, Daniel 8:26; 12:4, 9.

Some are arguing that the bible is complete and sealed, with nothing new to be added. This is very correct just as Revelation 22: 18 says “For I testify unto every man that heareth THE WORDS OF THE PROPHECY OF THIS BOOK, IF ANY MAN SHALL ADD UNTO THESE THINGS, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 AND IF ANY MAN SHALL TAKE AWAY FROM THE WORDS OF THE BOOK OF THIS PROPHECY, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.” For reference, see Deuteronomy 4:2; 12:32; Proverbs 30:6. The fact that no new book is allowed to be added to the already written ones, does this mean and therefore concludes that God has also stopped speaking to HIS children today? May God deliver us from the craftiness of men which is to deceive us in Jesus name. Amen.

3. PASTOR PAUL ENECHE

This man’s approach in handling purported divine messages from God is the most laughable of all. Honestly, I don’t know what was running in Pastor Eneche’s head when he was making frantic effort to rubbish a supposed message from God. Was he under some strong illusions? Was he doing this to keep his church members under his control and manipulations? Was he afraid that should he keep mute as some others did that it will truly mean that he was not actually a genuine man of God? I really don’t have answers to these questions.

In his attempts to discredit a supposed message from God, Pastor Eneche even shared a damned revelation to his members that ‘a lady said she entered heaven with a trouser’ in her revelation. This revelation that Paul Eneche uphold is from the pit of hell, and he was only doing this to keep the thousands of his worldly female members of his church to himself, thereby making them very comfortable in their sins.

He went on to say that ‘God did not speak through Balaam’s ass.’ Well, this is true to some extent but, you should however note here that it was the LORD that opened the ass’s mouth to speak as it is written in the bible. This fact Paul Eneche failed to tell his gullible members, who because they were very lazy to search God for themselves, ate the garbage he presented to them as ‘meal’, and they equally swallowed the hook, line and sinker as Paul Eneche throw it at them to catch them as prey. What a pity!

Let’s read as it is written in God’s own word (the bible). Numbers 22:22-35.

22 “And God's anger was kindled because he went: and the angel of the LORD stood in the way for an adversary against him. Now he was riding upon his ass, and his two servants were with him.

23 And the ass saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and the ass turned aside out of the way, and went into the field: and Balaam smote the ass, to turn her into the way.

 24 But the angel of the LORD stood in a path of the vineyards, a wall being on this side, and a wall on that side.

 25 And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she thrust herself unto the wall, and crushed Balaam's foot against the wall: and he smote her again.

 26 And the angel of the LORD went further, and stood in a narrow place, where was no way to turn either to the right hand or to the left.

 27 And when the ass saw the angel of the LORD, she fell down under Balaam: and Balaam's anger was kindled, and he smote the ass with a staff.

 28 AND THE LORD OPENED THE MOUTH OF THE ASS, and she said unto Balaam, What have I done unto thee, that thou hast smitten me these three times?

29 And Balaam said unto the ass, Because thou hast mocked me: I would there were a sword in mine hand, for now would I kill thee.

30 And the ass said unto Balaam, Am not I thine ass, upon which thou hast ridden ever since I was thine unto this day? was I ever wont to do so unto thee? And he said, Nay.

31 Then the LORD opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of the LORD standing in the way, and his sword drawn in his hand: and he bowed down his head, and fell flat on his face.

32 And the angel of the LORD said unto him, Wherefore hast thou smitten thine ass these three times? behold, I went out to withstand thee, because thy way is perverse before me:

33 And the ass saw me, and turned from me these three times: unless she had turned from me, surely now also I had slain thee, and saved her alive.

 34 And Balaam said unto the angel of the LORD, I have sinned; for I knew not that thou stoodest in the way against me: now therefore, if it displease thee, I will get me back again.

35 And the angel of the LORD said unto Balaam, Go with the men: but only the word that I shall speak unto thee, that thou shalt speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.”

Now, when Balaam eventually discovered that the LORD had used the ass to spare his life, he was remorseful initially and repented but, this does not stopped him from going ahead to meet Balak and sold his soul to Satan when he ‘loved the wages of unrighteousness’, even though God used a dumb ass to rebuked him of his greedy errors Jude verse 11. 2 Peter 2: 15 says “Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice forbad the madness of the prophet.”

Now, instead of Pastor Paul Eneche to first proved these messages according to 1 John 4:1, repent and amend his ways where necessary so that his soul will not be damned in hell, he concluded with his head knowledge and rejected the message without any proof from God. I pray that Jesus will have mercy on his soul today in Jesus name. Amen.

God’s endless abilities also saw HIM speaking to a fish in the case of Jonah. Jonah 2:10 “AND THE LORD SPAKE UNTO THE FISH, and it vomited out Jonah upon the dry land.”

Jesus spoke to the sea, and the sea heard HIS voice and obeyed HIM. Mark 4:39 “And he arose, and rebuked the wind, AND SAID UNTO THE SEA, PEACE, BE STILL. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.”  So, how can some man out there because of their ‘self-ego’ and ‘selfish interest’ limit the abilities of the Almighty God?

Pastor Paul Eneche went further to say that ‘God cannot use a prostitute.’ This actually makes me to believe that Paul Eneche doesn’t know this God at all and what HE is capable of doing. All that is taking place in Eneche’s Dunamis Church is ‘a zeal of God without knowledge’ Romans 10:2, and should he continue this way, he will end terribly. May the LORD God have mercy on his soul.

The prostitute Rahab was delivered from destruction through faith Hebrews 11:31, as she recognized the servants of the LORD that visited Jericho and yet, Rahab had never known anything like obeying the word of God Joshua 2:1, 6:23. This same harlot Rahab became the ground mother of our LORD Jesus Christ Matthew 1:5 and yet, one pastor is saying out there that God cannot use a prostitute.

It was also a prostitute at the well that became a big time evangelist for the LORD that won the whole city for Christ John 4:4-30. So, why will it become impossible for God to use the harlots of yesterday and turn them to the ministers of God today?

An adulterous woman was saved by Jesus Christ, even though the world had condemned her by their law John 8:3-11. If the Almighty God decides to use a harlot and prostitutes to relay HIS messages to us today, does this means impossible, when the bible clearly says all things are possible with God? Matthew 19:26.

Did Pastor Eneche also know that God can raise up stones as children unto Abraham? Matthew 3:9 says “And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, THAT GOD IS ABLE OF THESE STONES TO RAISE UP CHILDREN UNTO ABRAHAM.”

Please, stop limiting God and HIS several endless abilities due to your familiarity with God. God cannot change but it does not mean HE cannot change situations as it pleases HIM. The bible says HE does whatsoever thing that pleased HIM 1 Corinthians 12:18. Being familiar with God does not mean that you know God, or that you have known God for all HE really represent. Please repent today.

GOD’S DESIRE FOR HIS CHILDREN

Deuteronomy 5:28 “And the LORD heard the voice of your words, when ye spake unto me; and the LORD said unto me, I have heard the voice of the words of this people, which they have spoken unto thee: they have well said all that they have spoken. 29 O that there were such an heart in them, that they would fear me, and keep all my commandments always, that it might be well with them, and with their children for ever!”

Child of God, the Almighty God is crying saying “O THAT THERE WERE SUCH AN HEART IN THEM, THAT THEY WOULD FEAR ME, AND KEEP ALL MY COMMANDMENTS ALWAYS, that it might be well with them.” Most of us today no longer fear God, but we are ready to fear and obey our pastors to the letter. God is saying repent and amend your ways as a result of HIS everlasting love, and somebody is out there telling you not to pay attention. Someone out there is calling people with divine message liars, all because he does not subscribe to it. May your mercy O LORD locate us today in Jesus name. Amen.

Friends, if you allow ordinary mortal men to mislead you and you MISS HEAVEN in the process, you will find yourself to blame, and you truly have no excuse to make Romans 2:1. Remember, it is not how long you have been in church, or the position you are holding as a pastor that qualifies you for heaven Matthew 7:21-23. The key to enter heaven still remains total holiness, righteousness, truth and other Christian virtues; especially as the way to heaven remains narrow Matthew 7:14. Hebrews 12: 14 says “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.”

Remember, nothing defiled will ever enter heaven. Revelation 21:27 “AND THERE SHALL IN NO WISE ENTER INTO IT ANY THING THAT DEFILETH, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.”
