Matthew 3:1 “In those days came John the Baptist, preaching
in the wilderness of Judaea,
2 And saying, Repent ye: for the kingdom of heaven is at
hand.
3 For this is he that was spoken of by the prophet Esaias,
saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the
Lord, make his paths straight.
4 And the same John had his raiment of camel's hair, and a
leathern girdle about his loins; and his meat was locusts and wild honey.
5 Then went out to him Jerusalem, and all Judaea, and all
the region round about Jordan,
6 And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.
7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come
to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you
to flee from the wrath to come?
8 Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance.”
In our day, the true gospel that brings true repentance from
sin and make one to focus and wholly depend upon GOD for his/her salvation have
been exchanged with the gospel of riches and prosperity in the churches of JESUS
CHRIST, hence sinners are church members today and saints are in the streets. This
exchange of the true gospel with vain gospel is responsible for the
proliferation of churches in every crannies of our society, which has make it a
norm that the more the churches, the more the wickedness and evil practices in
our midst. The preachers of the gospel today are now engaged in materialism and
membership strength competition among themselves, which has led many to the churches
for true salvation message but turned out to become hardened in their sin and
wickedness. Well, let me quickly remind our pastors that they will surely
account for every single soul that left their altar straight to hell fire in
their death due to the fact that the real truth was hidden from them thereby
making them comfortable in their sins while in their churches. The pastors of
today carryout their church activities as if they were the ones that died for
the souls of their members, as they now caused their members to focus their
attention on them, instead of pointing them to CHRIST, who died and shed His
BLOOD on the cross of calvary for their redemption. This is visibly seen and
noticed across all churches in the land as majority of them are now experts in
eternal security messages, prosperity and wealth making philosophy, grace that accommodate
sin, and painfully, most of them today are nothing but mere entertainers who
entertain their guest (church members) into amusement to the satisfying of the flesh, which in turn
greatly draws the attention of their guest far away from the knowledge of sin,
let alone seeking repentance of sin from GOD in such matters. This is where we
are just as 1 Timothy 4 verse 1 and 2 succinctly captured: “Now the Spirit
speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith,
giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 2 Speaking lies in
hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron.”
I want to appeal to you that if you want to make heaven at
your death or in the imminent rapture, work out your salvation with fear and
trembling. Avoid every form of compromise that will deny you heaven. Know that
the standard of GOD regarding making heaven is still very high just as it was
in the days of Noah. They’ve not been lowered and it can never be lowered for
no man for any reason. The wages of sins is still death and you certainly have
no one to blame but yourself if you make it to hell fire in the end. The way
that leads to eternity in heaven is still very much narrow, which will not
accommodate your luggage of sin and carelessness. Above all, remember that not
all who says LORD, LORD, will end up in heaven and therefore, choose to be in
the number that will be accepted by GOD. All churches may point you to CHRIST,
but remember that NO CHURCH leads to heaven and therefore, if you have ears to
hear, hear now. Prayers for your dead corpse and repentance in hell fire are
efforts in futility. Don’t allow mortal men to wish you rest in peace when you
are dead whereas your soul is in great torments in hell fire which has no end
as it lasts for eternity. Do you want to spend your eternity in hell fire, or
in heaven? The choice is certainly yours as your works today is the determinant
of your eternal destination tomorrow. Repent therefore of all your sins and
give your life to JESUS CHRIST now, so that your soul will be saved from hell
fire.
Now, the gospel of John the Baptist lives no room to pamper
sinners in their sins. It was a sore teaching that pricked the hearts of the
sinners thereby leading them to true repentance, as the message exposed their
sins to the unhidden truth. No man ever felt comforted in their sin as they
trooped to John out of every place and repented of their evils and wickedness,
just as John never spared to preach that the wrath of GOD coming on the
children of disobedience was fierce. But in an opposite proportion, the pastors
of today now spare no time in comforting their members in sin as they have
assured them that no matter what may happen in the end, they will make heave
even though they don’t worth it as a result of their fat offerings, church commitments
and participation in every church activities.
When last did your pastor preached on true repentance? When last
did he preach that liars are hell-bound believers? When last did you hear
people groaning in tears as a result of hard message that pricked their hearts
which convicts their sins? Is it not ‘ride on sir’, ‘shouts of excitement’ that
usually rends the air when your pastor gives his oratory sermon? If you don’t
want to regret your ever coming to GOD through that your wicked pastor in the
end of your life, start to obey the instructions of the Bible in totality now. Your
pastors have succeeded in making you candidates for hell as a result of their
refusal to preach the undiluted truth to you. His interest on you is your
financial commitment to his church and nothing more. He doesn’t want to lose
you as his member hence his selective messages that keep you comfortable even
when you are aware that your end is hell fire. He keeps comforting you that
your offerings will appease GOD for your soul even if you die in your sin. Friend,
escape for your life now as tomorrow will certainly be too late. I hope that
you are aware that moment you closed your eyes in death, you cannot repent of
your sins again. “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this
the judgment.” Always remember this as you draw close to your death.
“He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith
unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of
life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.” Revelation 2:7.
