We live in a world where making good impression and having good image is everything. I think it is safe to say, in this modern world “image” has a big place than life itself. We are bombarded every single day by the media, magazine, Internet… you name it, how to look this or that, what to eat, what to dress, etc. The cosmetics industry encourages you to “shell out” all you have so you look like one of the superstars but never encourage you to be grateful for what you have or who you are. As the result we are confused and don’t understand how the relationship between the way we look and the way we feel works. Certainly there is nothing wrong with desiring to improve ourselves, but true joy comes when we start accepting and loving ourselves as exactly as we are. True joy is the result of accepting who we are as we are. We all need to realize that beauty comes in different shapes, colors, sizes and it has nothing to do with our outward appearances.

Appearance can be deceiving as well as revealing.

Our appearance projects images and sends out messages whether we intend to do so or not. Daniel Webster, the well-known American states-person once stated, “The world is governed more by appearance than realities so that it is fully as necessary to seem to know something as to know it.” I think that is true. Like it or not, our appearance makes a statement.

Once I read a story about a man standing off to the side, in front of a big church, dressed in baggy, torn clothes, unshaven and very unkempt. As the members went into the church, they had to pass this man. Not one member stopped to greet the man. All ignored him and looked the other way. The next week the pastor announced that he was the man who had been in front of the church the previous week, dressed in old clothes!

What do you want to look like? Give the answer for yourself. But, should we be concerned with our appearance? The answer is YES!!! But don’t get me wrong here, I am not talking about physical appearance. As Christians, we all should be concerned about our appearances. Why? Because we are “the epistles of the living God” 2 Cor. 3:2-3. We are his open letters. Proper image reflect proper message. As a label on a can reflect what is inside, so is our appearance. For Christians appearance is everything. People don’t read their bibles often times, but people read people. What kind of message your appearance send to the world? I am sexy, I am slob, I am flashy or I am modest, clean, orderly? Which one is it?

Your life should reflect your savior. Make sure your mouth doesn’t say one thing and your appearance say something different. You represent the king of kings and the Lord of Lords so make sure your life represent the everlasting king, the one true God.

In Matthew 23:25, 26 Jesus made a word picture about people who are looking good on the outside, but not good on the inside. He said, “You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and self-indulgence. Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.”

Friends, let me ask you a simple question. As you wash dishes and cups, which part of the cup needs the most cleaning? Which part requires your attention and concentration? Is it the inside or the outside? I hope we all agree that the inside of the cup is the one that gets dirty. It is the inside that needs the cleaning. But this doesn’t mean you don’t wash the outside, of Course you do. That is what Jesus talks about. Your heart  needs cleaning. Your inner heart (soul) needs to be clean. As the cup is not clean unless we address the issue that is inside so is our life. Our hearts needs to be clean from all sorts of unclean thoughts, motives, and actions then the outside reflects the inside. God is more concerned about our inner heart than the outward style. Your heart shows your life purpose. The Christian life is the life of Jesus Christ lived out through our life. It is not for a show. It is not a style. It is not a set of beliefs either. Christianity is life, and it is not our life. Jesus live his life in us. Look what Paul says in Galatians 2:20. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Which part of the cup you cleaning up?

Your outward presentation is the reflection of your heart. The external performance reveals a lot about what is going on inside. Your outward appearance is a stage for your inside. In most cases, your outside is a reflection of your inside.

Of course, we all know about an artificial outward projection. Artificial projection is when you hide your flaws the best possible way and display a contrary message. You can fake the outward but you can’t fake what you are inside. So, be smart, deal with your inside. And most importantly, as Christians one of the reasons that we should be concerned about our appearance or image is because our outward appearance can be INTERPRETED by those around us in any way differently. Yes, we should make ourselves look presentable. However, as some one said “ a christian should resemble a fruit tree not a Christmas tree.” The word of God in 1 John 2:6 says “he/she who says he/she abides in Christ ought to walk in the same way as he walked.”Our call as God’s children is based on becoming his son, Jesus Christ. Becoming like Christ does not mean we are losing personality, but it is all about transforming our character. Life is not about you, it is about God Ephesians 4:13. And this character development, or transformation is a process Paul said, “This will continue until we are … mature, just as Christ is, and we will be completely like him” (Ephesians 4:13).

As Rick Warren noted in his book “Jesus did not die on the cross just so we could live comfortable, well-adjusted lives. His purpose is far deeper: He wants to make us like himself before he takes us to heaven. This is our greatest privilege, our immediate responsibility, and our ultimate destiny.” (1) King David in Psalm 51:10 says “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Spiritual cleansing start from within not from outside. The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For out of the overflow of his heart his mouth speaks. Luke 6:45 The bible also says “as water reflects a face, so a man’s heart reflects the man.” (Pro 27:19) Your inner heart or life is an accurate representation of the real you. But how can we clean up our inside? Our heart? Our soul? First, get rid off all the junk from your heart and mind. Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God (Col 3:1-3). Second, Put the word of God in your heart and mind. As king David says in psalm 119:11 “Thy word have I hidden in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Hide the word of God, meditate on it and live it.

Remember this,  your heart is a window to your soul. It serves as a barometer of your true spiritual condition! When the heart is right, there will be love for God evidenced by genuine worship and heartfelt work that honors and glorified Him.

So, today I ask you to examine your life. Which part of the cup you cleaning up?

I have been receiving calls from people telling me that they want to be rich financially. Others have been asking me if I belong to a secret cult/society which can make them rich financially.

By the grace of God, as many as I have encountered this way, I have been presenting Jesus Christ to them as the only one that give riches without sorrow Proverbs 10:22, because Satan surely have no good or perfect gifts James 1:17. This I will continue to do as long as the LORD shall help me, and if Jesus tarry.

Meanwhile, I do wonder why men so much bother and worry after physical wealth/riches, while they think and care less about their soul and eternal destination. If we happen to possess the best of this life, it is a temporal enjoyment and fulfilment Hebrews 11:25, which can never equal the bliss or pain that awaits us in eternity, due to the lifestyle we chose to live here on earth now; hence the Bible asked: "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?" Mark 8:36-37. Absolutely nothing!

Just like Joseph, who ended up in prison for daring to be God fearing indeed, though he was promised earthly wealth as the gain of immorality by Potiphar's wife (just as some young men have become sexual partners to promiscuous ladies today), I will rather chose to lose my job, go to prison, be mocked and scorned by men due to earthly poverty, than to sell my soul to Satan for a pot of porridge Genesis 25:29-34. God forbids!
This is what helped Joseph to overcome. Psalm 119:72 "The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver."

Even at that, if the circumstances comes to the worst, I WILL GLADLY RELOCATE TO THE VILLAGE, serve God faithfully and ensure that I make heaven by HIS grace. This is what I will humbly do, if situations becomes pitiable to me as a Christian.
Proverbs 15:16 "Better is little with the fear of the LORD than great treasure and trouble therewith." Proverbs 28:6 "Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich." Psalms 37:16 "A little that a righteous man hath is better than the riches of many wicked." Proverbs 16:8 "Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right." Proverbs 19:1 "Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a fool."

Dear friend, will you deny Jesus, compromise your faith, compromise the word of God, and accept Satan's gift of physical prosperity at the detriment of your soul? The choice is certainly yours to make.
Joshua 24:15 "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."

If you find it difficult to obey the bitter truth of the word of God as a Christian, it is because the word of God is not meant for you. Matthew 19:11 "But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given."

Unfortunately, it is the same word of God you are disobeying because of your flesh, that is able to save your soul from hell fire. James 1:21 "Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls."

Repent today, believe and obey the whole word of God, be humble before the LORD, and it shall be well with your soul.

Please Don't Alter The Wonderful Work Of God In Your Body

The scriptures says "I will praise thee; FOR I AM FEARFULLY AND WONDERFULLY MADE: MARVELLOUS ARE THY WORKS; and that my soul knoweth right well" Psalm 139:14.

Brethren, in whichever way you are altering the marvellous works of God in fixing of hair extensions and attachment, perming and jerry curling of the hair, fixing fake nails, fake eye lashes, female circumcision, piercing of the ears and nose, fixing of golden teeth, cutting the body for traditional marks, and tattooing your body etc. (except they were done ignorantly, and you truly repented when you got to know that they were sin), you shall surely stand before the judgment seat of Christ someday, TO GIVE ACCOUNT OF THE THINGS DONE ON YOUR BODY, WHETHER THEY BE GOOD OR BAD.
2 Corinthians 5:10 "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; THAT EVERY ONE MAY RECEIVE THE THINGS DONE IN HIS BODY, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad." Revelation 22:12 "And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be."

Brethren, I am afraid of God oooooooo. God care for our body as well as our spirit and soul.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."

Please, let's repent of all the damages we've already done to the wonderful work of God in our body, and let's cry for mercy, now that we are not yet in the grave.
Hebrews 9:27 "And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment."

However, if you think that I am preaching fables, laws, or burden to you, please continue in your chosen and choicest lifestyle. But this I surely know: Your blood shall never be required at my hands. Okay.

LORD God Almighty, as the angel of God sets Peter free from Herod's prison by divine arrangements in Acts 12:4-10, so set our Chibok school girls free by divine arrangements right now from the terrorist Boko Haram prisons in Jesus name. Amen.

O LORD, we pray, let all the kidnapped Chibok school girls return home to their parents, families and guardians in peace in Jesus name. Amen.

Almighty Father, we ask O LORD God, let the angels of death from heaven, move in all the camps of the Boko Haram insurgents in Nigeria and elsewhere, and slay them in their sleep in Jesus mighty name. Amen.

Father, we ask in your name O LORD, let all the sponsorers, supporters, financiers and sympathizers of the terrorist Boko Haram insurgents, begin to kill and expose themselves by fire in Jesus name. Amen.

O man of war, as the terrorist Boko Haram insurgents prides themselves in taking other people's lives, let their lives be terminated by fire right now in Jesus name. Amen.

War On Terror: Victory Ahead For Nigeria In Jesus Name AMEN

On Thursday, 29th May, 2014, during the nationwide broadcast of President Goodluck Jonathan GCFR, Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces of Nigeria, to commemorate the 15th year of democratic governance in Nigeria without the interruption of the Military forces, he declared and I quote "The war on terror may be difficult, but peace shall return." To this firm faith on the return of peace to Nigeria by the President, I had uttered 'Amen' and I believed that peace will surely return to Nigeria in Jesus name. Amen.

Considering the menace of the terrorist Boko Haram operations in Nigeria especially as it affects the Northern Nigeria, particularly the North - East region of the country, with Adamawa, Borno, and Yobe states as hotbeds of their inhuman operations, one maybe tempted to believed that it is never possible for peace to return to this troubled region. However, no matter the damages done already to the peaceful coexistence of Nigerians by the terrorist Boko Haram people, just as the President had declared with unwavering faith, by the grace of the Almighty God, PEACE SHALL RETURN TO NIGERIA AGAIN IN JESUS NAME. AMEN.

As Nigerians therefore clamouring for the end to the terrorist operations of the Boko Haram insurgents, we MUST CONTINUE TO LIFT NIGERIA UP IN OUR PRAYERS for peace to return, because in the peace of Nigeria, there we will have our peace.
Psalms 122:6 "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee."
Jeremiah 29:7 "And seek the peace of the city whither I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray unto the LORD for it: for in the peace thereof shall ye have peace."

WHY IT APPEARS THE WAR ON TERRORISM IS DIFFICULT
Certainly, there are conspirators within the security forces that are loyal to the terrorist Boko Haram people. Not until these wicked elements are flushed out of the system, the war on terror may be undermined. I pray, may all the enemies of Nigeria within and without the security forces start to expose themselves in Jesus name. Amen.
To some wicked Nigerians, the war on terrorism shouldn't end because, it will end their sources of income as well. All your wicked devices against this nation Nigeria shall come to nought in Jesus name. Amen.
Lamentations 1:5 "HER ADVERSARIES ARE THE CHIEF, HER ENEMIES PROSPER; for the LORD hath afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her children are gone into captivity before the enemy."

THE COST TO RETURN PEACE IS EXPENSIVE
2 Kings 3:26 "And when the king of Moab saw that the battle was too sore for him, he took with him seven hundred men that drew swords, to break through even unto the king of Edom: but they could not. 27 Then he took his eldest son that should have reigned in his stead, and offered him for a burnt offering upon the wall. And there was great indignation against Israel: and they departed from him, and returned to their own land."
As expensive as the cost of peace may appear, there's nothing too much that cannot be done to get the peace we urgently needed in Nigeria. Therefore, should the government have information and evidences linking some influential Nigerians to the terrorist Boko Haram insurgents, they should be dealt with appropriately and according to the tenets of the laws of our dear country Nigeria.
How can some few disgruntled, wicked, self serving and devilish individuals hold the over 160 million Nigerians to ransom?

MY PRAYERS
Nigeria, may the LORD God Almighty give you peace on every side in Jesus name. Amen. Numbers 6:26 "The LORD lift up his countenance upon thee (Nigeria), and give thee peace." Amen.
O Nigeria, may peace reign within thy walls, and prosperity in thy palaces in Jesus name. Amen. Psalms 122:7 "Peace be within thy walls, and prosperity within thy palaces."
And to our dear President Goodluck Jonathan, the LORD God Almighty shall give you a mouth and wisdom, that all your enemies around the world shall not be able to stop, gainsay or resist in Jesus name. Amen. Luke 21:15 "For I (Jesus) will give you (Goodluck Jonathan) a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries (within and without Nigeria) shall not be able to gainsay nor resist."

The reward for sinning and refusing to accept Jesus Christ as LORD and saviour is death. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." 2 Thessalonians 1:8 "In flaming fire taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ: 9 Who shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord, and from the glory of his power." Psalms 9:17 "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God." Job 8:11 "Can the rush grow up without mire? can the flag grow without water? 12 Whilst it is yet in his greenness, and not cut down, it withereth before any other herb. 13 So are the paths of all that forget God; and the hypocrite's hope shall perish."

Please my dear sinner friends, repent and accept Jesus Christ as your LORD and personal saviour. Please don't die in your sins for you will surely make it to hell fire.

But Jesus has come to give you life in abundance, while your sin will steal, kill and destroy your soul in hell fire. John 10:9 "I (Jesus) am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture. 10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I (Jesus) am come that they (sinners) might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly."

God bless you as you repent of your sins and believe on Jesus Christ for the remission of your sins. Amen. Acts 2:38 "Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost." Acts 10:43 "To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins."

An adage in my Bini dialect says ❛Na gbon rienrien ziro dan.❜ Meaning: The person who is enjoying life have no time to think of any evil.

Interestingly, the bible also speak about a merry heart.
Proverbs 15:13 ❝A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken.❞ Proverbs 15:15 ❝All the days of the afflicted are evil: but he that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast.❞ Proverbs 17:22 ❝A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.❞

This is why the Southern people of Nigeria are known for enjoyment, especially those of us from South - South region, particularly we from Benin City, Edo State. We value life so much that even the militants in the creeks don't performed terrorism nor involved themselves in suicide bombing of Nigerians. The worst they can do is to bomb oil installations and pipelines, when their demands are being played with.

On the contrary, the Boko Haram terrorists people operating terrorism against the innocent Nigerians in the Northern part of Nigeria,� can be best described as ❛animals❜ because they know not the value of the human lives they are wasting in their terrorists activities against the Nigerian state and her people.
Since their hearts now reason like animals, they are now seeing other people as animals too, hence their continuous shedding of the blood of innocent Nigerians, and destroying worship places, markets, banks, eateries, viewing centers, Police stations, homes, government establishment, etc, all for just no cause. Psalms 94:21 ❝They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.❞

Foolishly and stupidly, the Boko Haram terrorists people also blows themselves up in suicide bombing. With their deceived mindset, they think that when they succeeded in killing people through suicide bombing, that 72 virgins are waiting for them in their satanic paradise, as a reward for their wicked acts. What a deceit! Exodus 23:7 ❝Keep thee far from a false matter; and the innocent and righteous slay thou not: for I will not justify the wicked.❞ Ezekiel 16:23 ❝And it came to pass after all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the LORD GOD;)❞ Psalm 68:2 ❝As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.❞ Psalm 94:23 ❝And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.❞ Job 8:22 ❝They that hate thee shall be clothed with shame; and the dwelling place of the wicked shall come to nought.❞ Psalm 28:4 ❝Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert.❞ Psalm 55:15 ❝Let death seize upon them, and let them go down quick into hell: for wickedness is in their dwellings, and among them.❞ Nahum 3:19 ❝There is no healing of thy bruise; thy wound is grievous: all that hear the bruit of thee shall clap the hands over thee: for upon whom hath not thy wickedness passed continually?❞ Psalm 139:19 ❝Surely thou wilt slay the wicked, O God: depart from me therefore, ye bloody men.❞ Psalm 145:20 ❝The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.❞ Malachi 4:1 ❝For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up, saith the LORD of hosts, that it shall leave them neither root nor branch.❞

Boko Haram terrorists people, there's no paradise for you. In fact, the fire awaiting you people in hell fire is unquenchable, and only Jesus Christ can save you from going there. Mark 9:44 ❝Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.❞ John 14:6 ❝Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.❞ Acts 16:30 ❝And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.❞

Make no mistake: The Boko Haram insurgents are not ❛Muslims❜ but pure terrorists, who takes pride in the killings of other people even though the Almighty God warned against killing. Exodus 20:13 ❝Thou shalt not kill.❞

The popular belief in Nigeria that Boko Haram means ❛Western Education is forbidden❜, is a well calculated theory to deceived the unintelligent mind. If that is the case, then the Boko Haram terrorists people are fools for using Western knowledge initiated devices and equipment to prosecute their demonic assignment of terrorism. The guns, bombs, vehicles, telephones, laptops, walkie talkie, ammunitions, photo cameras, video cameras, device chargers, Sim cards, memory cards, and every other technological development which usually aids their terrorists operations, are all products of Western education and technological advancement. So, who is deceiving who?

Anyway Boko Haram people, your wicked activities against the Nigerian people have been foretold by Our LORD Jesus Christ. John 16:2 ❝They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.❞
So, keep on doing your wickedness against Nigerians but you must however remember that, as the people you are killing are dying, so you terrorists Boko Haram people shall die one day. Okay. Acts 8:22 ❝Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee.❞ Ezekiel 33:11 ❝Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?❞

Therefore, consider your evil practices today against the innocent Nigerians, and also consider the terror and agony awaiting you people in hell fire. Prayer Points:

⒈ Confess the sins of our past leaders, and ask God for mercy upon all Nigerians. Jeremiah 14:20 ❝We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee.❞ Nehemiah 1:5 ❝And said, I beseech thee, O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God, that keepeth covenant and mercy for them that love him and observe his commandments: 6 Let thine ear now be attentive, and thine eyes open, that thou mayest hear the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before thee now, day and night, for the children of Israel thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, which we have sinned against thee: both I and my father's house have sinned. 7 We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which thou commandedst thy servant Moses.❞

⒉ Pray for repentance on behalf of all Nigerians. Daniel 9:16 ❝O LORD, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people are become a reproach to all that are about us.❞ 2 Chronicles 7:14 ❝If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.❞

⒊ Enthrone Jesus King over Nigeria. Psalm 2:6 ❝Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.❞ Psalm 46:7 ❝The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.❞

⒋ Exalt Jesus and lift Him high in Nigeria. Psalm 46:10 ❝Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.❞

⒌ Ask for the help of God to quench the Boko Haram trouble in Nigeria. Psalms 46:1 ❝God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. 2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; 3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. 5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.❞

⒍ Pray that gladness and peace shall envelope Nigeria from henceforth. Psalm 46:4 ❝There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.❞ Psalms 122:6 ❝Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: they shall prosper that love thee.❞

⒎ Pray for God's wisdom on President Goodluck Jonathan, so that he will overcome this traumatic era in Nigeria. Psalm 2:10 ❝Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.❞ Proverbs 20:26 ❝A wise king scattereth the wicked, and bringeth the wheel over them.❞

8. Pray for the Military and all the security apparatus executing the war against terrorism, that the Almighty God will help them so that their labour to defend Nigeria against the Boko Haram insurgents shall not be in vain in Jesus name. Psalm 108:12 ❝Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.❞ Psalm 127:1 ❝Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain.❞ Isaiah 65:23 ❝They shall not labour in vain, nor bring forth for trouble; for they are the seed of the blessed of the LORD, and their offspring with them.❞

⒐ Pray that God will give the Nigerian Military victory against the Boko Haram terrorists people in Jesus name. Psalm 2:9 ❝Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.❞

⒑ Pray that the gathering of the Boko Haram terrorists people, and all those sympathetic to their wicked course be scattered in Jesus name. Isaiah 54:15 ❝Behold, they shall surely gather together, but not by me: whosoever shall gather together against thee shall fall for thy sake.❞

⒒ Pray that the wicked operations of Boko Haram terrorists people in Nigeria shall be desolate in Jesus name. Psalm 46:6 ❝The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted. 8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.❞

⒓ Pray that the life of the Boko Haram terrorists people, and their sympathizers, sponsors and informants, shall be exchanged for every Nigerian they plot to kill in Jesus name. Psalm 2:8 ❝Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.❞

⒔ Pray that the Boko Haram terrorists people and their supporters shall fall into every ambushment they laid against the Nigerian people, as God did to Jeroboam, in Jesus name. 2 Chronicles 13:12 ❝And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his priests with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper. 13 But Jeroboam caused an ambushment to come about behind them: so they were before Judah, and the ambushment was behind them. 14 And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind: and they cried unto the LORD, and the priests sounded with the trumpets. 15 Then the men of Judah gave a shout: and as the men of Judah shouted, it came to pass, that God smote Jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah. 16 And the children of Israel fled before Judah: and God delivered them into their hand. 17 And Abijah and his people slew them with a great slaughter: so there fell down slain of Israel five hundred thousand chosen men. 18 Thus the children of Israel were brought under at that time, and the children of Judah prevailed, because they relied upon the LORD God of their fathers. 19 And Abijah pursued after Jeroboam, and took cities from him, Bethel with the towns thereof, and Jeshanah with the towns thereof, and Ephrain with the towns thereof. 20 Neither did Jeroboam recover strength again in the days of Abijah: and the LORD struck him, and he died.❞

⒕ Pray that the bombs, guns, and all the weaponry of the Boko Haram terrorists people shall be destroyed by the Holy Ghost fire in Jesus. Psalm 46:9 ❝He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.❞

⒖ Pray that the terrorists Boko Haram people shall turn their bombs, guns and ammunitions against themselves, that they will start to destroy themselves in Jesus name. 2 Chronicles 20:22 ❝And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. 23 For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another. 24 And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped.❞

⒗ Pray that the wickedness of the Boko Haram terrorists people shall be upon their own heads in Jesus name. Ezekiel 18:20 ❝The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.❞

⒘ Pray that confusion shall reign in all the camps of all the enemies of Nigeria in Jesus name. Genesis 11:7 ❝Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another's speech. 8 So the LORD scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city. 9 Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the LORD did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the LORD scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.❞

⒙ Pray for the entire Christian community in Nigeria, that God will strengthen them to become prayerful in standing for the gap for Nigeria in Jesus name. Isaiah 62:6 ❝I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the LORD, keep not silence.❞

I am not surprised that many Christians are in one sport or the other, they think they are deceiving God not knowing they are deceiving themselves. See what the Bible says about sports. "So is the man that deceiveth his neighbor, and saith, Am I not in sport?" Prov 26:19. Many will say, even in the Seventh Day Adventist Church, is it not just sport? But the Bible says, by doing this the man deceiveth his neighbor.
When you deceive your neighbour what are you doing? Answer: You are Sinning. "It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom." Prov 10:23. The foolish who do mischief (trouble), to him is like a sport. That is, sport is associated with mischief and foolishness.

Question: Who were the first known in the Bible, to sit down to watch Sport game as an entertainment? Let me shock you now! The first set of people that introduces sport in the Bible were the Philistines. See Judges 16:23-27. "Then the lords of the Philistines gathered them together for to offer a great sacrifice unto Dagon their god, and to rejoice: for they said, Our god hath delivered Samson our enemy into our hand. And when the people saw him, they praised their god: for they said, Our god hath delivered into our hands our enemy, and the destroyer of our country, which slew many of us. And it came to pass, when their hearts were merry, that they said, Call for Samson, that he may make us SPORT. And they called for Samson out of the prison house, and he made them SPORT: and they set him between the pillars. . . and there were upon the roof about three thousand men and women, that beheld while Samson made SPORT."

And who were the Philistines ?
1. They were idol worshippers.
2. They were God's Enemy.
3. They were sun worshippers.
4. They were Soothsayers.

Would you want to partake in the activity of those who are regarded as God's enemy? I don't think so. Football is Idolatry and Highly esteemed in this world.

When you play football or doing athletic running or any sport, do you play or sport all alone? No. It involves two or more.

Now tell me: How do you feel when you play football or do any sport? Do you feel the fruit of the Spirit when you do them? Do you love your opponents more? Are you becoming more righteous? Are you at peace with your opponents? Are you more gentle when you play? Are you more temperate? Are you more meek? Do you feel Christlike, Joy, goodness, faithful? Are you more longsuffering on the pitch of football? If you feel all of these then brother you can go on.
But I bet you, not one can be found in football players. Don't deceive yourself, God can't be mocked.

6. What did Christ warned against? "For what is highly esteemed among men is an ABOMINATION in the sight of God." Luke 16:15.

7. What is the most highly esteemed sport in the World? FOOTBALL is highly esteemed among men of the world, even Christians. Look at how much is spent on players and look at how people go crazy in the stadium. People even idolizes many players.

8. What are the works of the devil? The works of the devil are the works of the flesh in Galatians 5:19-21. One of the works of the devil in Verse 20 is Emulations (in KJV). Emulation is the act of attempting to equal or excel in quality or action, rivalry, contest, contention, STRIFE. So striving for supremacy by making others lose is one of the works of the flesh.

9. Is football then Satanic? I will say YES! Since we know that football is highly esteemed among men and God said anything that is highly esteemed among men is abomination to Him. Also the mother of all abomination of the earth is Babylon and the spirit behind Babylon is none other than SATAN. Read what Revelation 17:5 says carefully and slowly, "And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOT AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH."

10. What will happen to those who play football and those who do not play football but watches and find pleasure in them that play football, except they are ignorant of their wrong? "And there shall in no wise enter into it (that is, the kingdom of God) anything that defileth, neither whatever worketh ABOMINATION or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the lamb's book of life." Revelation 21:27.

11. What is Christ method to be great and supreme? "And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant." Matt 20:27.

Football is a game of strife, it is a competition. The struggle for supremacy is the goal of every sport. To strife for supremacy or to gain earthly reward is the aim of Football. Dictionary.reference.com defines strife as one of the following,"

1. vigorous or bitter conflict, discord, or antagonism.
2. A quarrel, struggle, or clash.
3. competition or rivalry."

To Strife is not an individualistic thing. It involves You and another person or group of persons. It is being in competition or rivalry with another person. Therefore, to strife is to be in competition. The spirit of Strife is the spirit of Competition.

1. What does the Bible say about strife? "For where envying and STRIFE is, there is confusion (tumult or unquitetness) and every evil work." James 3:16. Strife brings envy, confusion and breed every evil works.

2. Does football has the same characteristics? Football breeds anger, envying against opponents, confusion, it breeds every evil works in the football stadium. People kill themselves for Football. Most Christians sacrificed 2 hours for football and can't sit to study and pray for even 30 minutes.

3. Is Strife Devilish or Demonic in nature? "But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, DEVILISH." James 3:14, 15.

4. Is football then Demonic and devilish? Yes it is and it is not from God. In football, to dominate is the order of the day. Team will want to dominate other people and in doing so, strife exist. God said, "Let nothing be done through strife or Vainglory." Phil 2:3.

5. Is there any sport man who goes into football or sport to lose? I have not seen any man. No one will go into sport to lose. To win, you must strife and be envious and do all evil works to win. All seeks to win, and through strife, seek to make others lose.

The Value Of Heavenly Pursuit

Text: John 6:24 “When the people therefore saw that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also took shipping, and came to Capernaum, seeking for Jesus.
25 And when they had found him on the other side of the sea, they said unto him, Rabbi, when camest thou hither?
26 Jesus answered them and said, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Ye seek me, not because ye saw the miracles, but because ye did eat of the loaves, and were filled.
27 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.”

It is what you placed value on that you will ensure its successful conclusion, whether in business, marriage, career, education, and such like. Oftentimes, most people can give up food, raiment, comfort, pleasures, and dignity just to attain a certain goal/career in their life’s endeavor. This is putting interest in making sure that all that is planned comes out satisfactorily successful and glorious.
This zealous effort is often recorded when we humans are out in the pursuit of one earthly goal and desire to fulfill our existence here on earth. The level of interest developed in bringing this to a logical conclusion is so amazing to the fact that, we are mostly celebrated by men when our stars starts beaming with recorded successes. This is amazingly glorious!

Most of us today can spend millions and billions amount of our resources in our various currencies just for the maintenance of our body only. We are so conscious of this our sandy body as if it will not be destroyed one day. All our efforts are mostly for the pleasing of our body only. This is wickedness! “Labour not for the meat which perisheth” John 4:27.
We are doing all these at the detriment of our soul, our real personality that will outlive this sandy body Ecclesiastes 12:7. Please, let’s start to attach greater importance to the saving of our soul than the pleasures and attention we are giving to our body. This will help us to start making preparation for heaven. Amen.

However, in the matter of heaven, the same people you see with such level of commitment and zeal to meeting their earthly goals, aspirations and desires are often seen lackadaisical in the pursuit of their heavenly goals and attainment. This approach of ours to our heavenly pursuit has grave consequences. To this effect, the bible asked: “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? Mark 8:36-37.

It is a good thing and God wish that we become the best in this life, hence the bible says “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat” 2 Thessalonians 3:10. But, should our attention and focus be earthly concentrated only as Christians, we are of all people to be pitied, just as 1 Corinthians 15:19 puts it “If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.”

The prosperity of our soul which is to make heaven ultimately far outweighs these earthly successes, achievements and conquest. In 3rd John verse 2, the bible says “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, EVEN AS THY SOUL PROSPERETH”, making reference to the prosperity of the soul foremost. If you are prosperous physically but soulishly poor, you will become like the rich fool that Jesus spoke about in Luke 12:16-21, who lays up earthly treasures for himself but was not rich towards God.

The concentration of our hearts is often towards where our treasures are stored up. To therefore be conscious of our heavenly pursuit, we must ensure that our treasures are heavenly based. Matthew  6:19 “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 BUT LAY UP FOR YOURSELVES TREASURES IN HEAVEN, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

When Jesus was teaching, HE said “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work” John 4:34. Until we Christians start to behave the same way Jesus behaved in respect to doing the will of God at all times, we may never be able to fully understand our purpose of being called Christians. John 4:31 “In the mean while his disciples prayed him, saying, Master, eat. 32 But he said unto them, I have meat to eat that ye know not of. 33 Therefore said the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought him ought to eat? 34 Jesus saith unto them, My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.”
This mindset of readiness to do the will of God always greatly helped Jesus to bow to the will of God in the garden of Gethsemane Matthew 26:36-44. Are you ready to do the will of God today and put your own will aside? May the LORD God Almighty give you the grace to do so in Jesus name. Amen.

Apostle Paul in recounting the ordeal that befell him for the gospel sake, he enthused “BUT EVEN AFTER THAT WE HAD SUFFERED BEFORE, AND WERE SHAMEFULLY ENTREATED, AS YE KNOW, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention” 1 Thessalonians 2:2.
2 Corinthians 11:22 “Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I. 23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. 24 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one. 25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness. 28 Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches. 29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not? 30 If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities. 31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not. 32 In Damascus the governor under Aretas the king kept the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desirous to apprehend me: 33 And through a window in a basket was I let down by the wall, and escaped his hands.”
In order for Paul to win Christ, he gave up on the things that were gain to him. What have you given up for heaven? Philippians 3:7 “But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. 8 Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.”

It is my prayer for you today that the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you, that your faith will fail not in the day of your adversary in Jesus name. Amen. 1 Peter 5:10.

Text: Romans 14:17 “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. 18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men.”

Preambles:
Few days ago, a sister asked a question on Facebook. Is chewing gum right for a Christian?
Many people answered that it was a sin, while others holds the opinion that you should be moderate in your chewing. And yet, some others said it is wrong to chew gum in the church but okay outside the church. As for you people preparing to make heaven, you don’t have a reserved life in the church and another one outside the church. This will amount to hypocrisy should you be doing so.
Everything you do must be patterned after God’s word and therefore, do only the things you will confidently do when standing in the presence of God as if Jesus is right there physically with you. If you cannot chew gum in Jesus presence physically, your chewing gum outside the church is a sin. Whatsoever is not of faith is sin the bible says Romans 14:23.
Your mini skirts, attachment, weavon, makeup, women wearing trousers, jewelries, rings and other satanic appearances in the church today and the works of flesh Galatians 5:19-21. If you are a person working in the flesh, there’s no way you will ever make heaven because the carnal mind is enmity against God. Romans 8:7 “Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.” God bless you.

The ways and thoughts of the Almighty God are higher than ours (ordinary human beings) is the description of how heaven is far higher than the earth in comparison Isaiah 55:9. Therefore, to assume that the Almighty God will come down to our human level of thinking in deciding HIS justice on every individual is like turning God into a human being with the qualities of change. The bible says “God is not a man that can change or lie” Malachi 3:6; Numbers 23:19. The habitation of heaven is justice, judgment, mercy and truth Psalm 89:14.

Heaven is a prepared place for a prepared people and therefore, for every individual that wishes to make it there at his/her death or during the rapture, must follow the lay down guidelines of the word of God that leads there Psalm 119:11. Heaven was the very first thing that God created Genesis 1:1 because HE needed a dwelling place 1 Kings 8:39. Heaven is the throne of the Almighty God Isaiah 66:1, which is the habitation of the holy angels and all the saints that will ever make it there, rendering worship unto HIM Nehemiah 9:6.

LET’S CONSIDER THE CONTEXT OF OUR TEXT
Romans 14:17 “For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”

Righteousness - Adhering to moral principles
Psalm 145:17 “The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.”
1 John 2:29 “If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.”
1 John 3:7 “Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.”
Heaven seeking brethren, the moral principles of the bible as much as heaven is concerned is righteousness. Are you therefore adhering to these righteous principles of God? When you are righteous, you will graciously and faithfully expose every work of darkness not to condone, sponsor or approve them Ephesians 5:11. Psalm 93:5 “Thy testimonies are very sure: holiness becometh thine house, O LORD, for ever.”

Peace - Harmonious relations
James 3:18 “And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace.”
Hebrews 12:14 “Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord”
Romans 14:19 “Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.”
Psalm 34:14 “Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.”
Making heaven is also tied to peace, which is a harmonious relationship between one another, and between you and God. To further demonstrate that peace is needful for you to enter heaven and even before your offering can be accepted by God, Jesus said, “first be reconciled to thy brother” Matthew 5:24. Brethren, how peaceful are you? Even in marriage, the bible says “but God hath called us to peace” 1 Corinthians 7:15.

Joy - The emotion of great happiness
Psalm 16:11 “Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.”
Nehemiah 8:10 “Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”
Joy is also a requirement for making heaven, which is an emotion of great happiness created in you when you accepted Jesus Christ as your LORD and personal saviour, and your sins forgiven you Luke 18:13-14. You can only find joy in God’s presence which becomes the strength of the believers in Christ Jesus.

Therefore, the bond that tied righteousness, peace and joy together in the matter of haven is the Holy Ghost. You can’t claim to have the Holy Ghost in you when your actions and works are that of unrighteousness, quarrelsome and frowness of face. The Holy Ghost can only reside in a holy vessel 2 Peter 1:20-21, which brought the bible to us today, showing us the mind of God and how to follow this God and make eternity in heaven.  Psalm 119:9 “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.”

The way to heaven is narrow and will always remain narrow Matthew 7:14 because, it is not possible for everyone to be saved Romans 9:27. Being narrow means ‘it is an unpleasant and very difficult way to go’ hence it is only few that find it. May you be found among these few today in Jesus name. Amen.

You must be prepared to do will of God if you must make heaven. Matthew 7:21 says “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.” Are you doing the will of God, or you doing your own will? Psalm 40:8 “I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.”

Making heaven requires self-denial. Until you deny yourself of all forms of worldly pleasures, and take up your cross and following Jesus consistently on a daily basis, heaven will only be a dream to you. Luke 9:23 “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.” Jesus leads, and I follow.

You must also forsake/abandon all the things that you were (bury all your past glories) for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ if you must make heaven Philippians 3:8. Luke 18:28 “Then Peter said, Lo, we have left all, and followed thee. 29 And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake, 30 Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.”

Striving is the process to get to heaven. You must keep striving unto you win the crown because, all runneth but one wins the crown. May you win your crown of life today in Jesus name. Amen. Luke 13:24 “Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able.” 1 Corinthians 9:24 “Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.”

Making heaven requires diligent work with the LORD. Jesus said “My Father worketh hitherto, and I work” John 5:17. This work requires faithfulness to be accepted. 1 Corinthians 4:2 “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.”
Which work are you working for the LORD? Will your work stand the test of time, or they will get burnt up when they are put to the test? 1 Corinthians 3:9 “For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building. 10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.  11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;  13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.”

If you must make heaven, your focus must be set on things above. Matthew 6: 19 “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: 20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: 21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.”

You must realize that the friendship of this world is enmity with God James 4:4, which will prevent you from making it to heaven and therefore, you must ensure that you please God in all the things you do, so as to be accepted of God. Hebrews 11:5 “By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.”

The love of the world must not be the basis for measuring your commitment to God. The love of the world will push the love of the Father far away from you. 1 John 2:15 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. To make heaven, you must rely on the finished work of calvary Hebrews 12:2. You must make use of God’s grace because you cannot save yourself Ephesians 2:8. You must be born again John 3:3-5. Holiness is a non negotiable Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15-16. You must have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit of God Romans 8:16, among several other things.

Remember, you are a soldier fighting to make heaven for yourself, do not allow the entanglement of flesh to deny you heaven, as the devil our chief adversary is seeking whom to devour 1 Peter 5:8, for certainly, there are many adversaries. 1 Corinthians 16:9 “For a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries.” 2 Timothy 2:4 “No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.”

Heaven, a prepared place for a prepared people is so pure that no filthiness and defilement will ever get there. It will only accommodate those who labour for their names to written there. Revelation 21:27 “And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.”
Are you prepared for heaven brethren? Examine yourselves the bible encourages us 2 Corinthians 13:5. I pray that we will be found worthy when the LORD examines us today in Jesus name. Amen.  Psalm 26:2 “Examine me, O LORD, and prove me; try my reins and my heart.”

In conclusion, if you must make heaven, you must truly cleanse yourself of every form of filthiness and be prepare to please the LORD in your body, soul and spirit 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Romans 12:1-2. 2 Corinthians 7:1 “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”
It takes the willing and obedient heart to make heaven. If you are therefore willing to obey the word of God in its entirety and repent of your sins truly, I assure you that by the grace of God, heaven will become a reality to you. Isaiah 1:18 “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. 19 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.”

May the LORD God Almighty enlighten our eyes of understanding today in Jesus name. Amen. Ephesians 1:18 “The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.”

Dear Nigerians, especially the Christian community,
The scourge of violence, deaths, wicked practices and atrocities, being perpetrated against the Nigerian state and her people by the terrorists Boko Haram insurgents, is war on humanity.

To win this war against terrorism, all Nigerians irrespective of religious, political or ethnic affiliations must be united under one purpose against this monster called Boko Haram.

The circle that is giving these terrorists upper hand as it stands now against the Nigerian state and her people, is the religious sentiments that we Southern Christians in Nigeria have introduced to this disastrous phenomenon, claiming the lives of defenceless and innocent Nigerians from time to time, without any form of provocation especially in the Northern parts of Nigeria.

Another fertile ground promoting the wickedness of Boko Haram terrorists is the incrimination of their devilish activities in calling them Muslims by the Christian community. We can attest to their wicked activities so far due to the fact that we refused to see them who and what they are - terrorists.

Therefore, until we all the Nigerian people whether Christians or Muslims start to address these vampires called Boko Haram the terrorists they are, we may be here calling them Muslims and they will keep on bombing the land unresisted, because we've refused to use our head.

The Boko Haram insurgents are not Muslims but pure terrorists, who are bent on destroying this country called Nigeria, hiding under Islam in carrying out their monstrous wickedness against the Nigerian state.

We all must join hands with the government to smoke them out of their hiding places among the citizens of this nation. After all, they lived within the people, and they are children of some individuals in the society.

Your silence is an approval of their wickedness against the Nigerian state, which had resulted in the killing of school children in Yobe State, kidnapping of the over 200 school girls in Chibok, the twin bombings of Nyanya in Abuja, and now the wanton destruction in Terminus, Jos, Nigeria, amongst several other wicked things they've been doing against all Nigerians since 2010, in bombing churches, Mosque, schools, markets, barracks, banks, eateries, razing down villages and rural/urban settlements with fire.

Nigerians, are we going to sit down, fold our hands and feel unconcerned, watch and see these terrorists Boko Haram people wipe out this nation with their bombs?

The people they've been killing are Nigerians, which cut across religion, political, ethnic or tribal divide, hence we all must be united against this evil merchants of death called Boko Haram terrorists in our midst today. Remember, evil thrives when good people do nothing.

Put your religion, political or ethnic affiliations behind you, and join hands with the government to deliver this nation from the impending disaster that the Boko Haram terrorists are plotting.

Speak against their demonic operations, expose their financiers you may know to law enforcement agencies in the land, give the Police and the Military the needed support in order to win this war against terrorism.

Above all, remember to pray for Nigeria, that God Almighty will rain fire and brimstone from heaven against every evil doers promoting the spate of violence, terrorism, killings, kidnapping, armed robbery, private & public corruption, ritual operations, embezzlement, rigging, aiding and abetting of evil practices against Nigeria and Nigerians.

Until we all remember to know that Nigeria does not belong to the Christians or to the Muslims, but to Nigerians and join hands together in unity to prevent her from shattering, we may bid farewell to her continuous unity soon, due to the unabating menace of terrorism against her by the demonic Boko Haram insurgents in the North.

Text: Romans 5:6-15
6 “For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.
7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.
8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.
12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.”

The love of God was demonstrated upon humanity when we were yet in our sins Romans 5:8. The redemption plan of humanity was contracted the very moment man fell from the grace of God in the garden of Eden, hence the seed of the woman was promised by God as the one that will bruised the head of Satan, which eventually came to manifestation when the fullness of time was come Galatians 4:4. “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel” Genesis 3:15. Jesus Christ, who is the promised seed of the woman has come to saved us from our sins Matthew 1:21.

In order to be saved in the redemptive work of Jesus on the cross, you have a part to play and the part for you is to look unto Jesus on the cross. The bible says that as many that lifted up their eyes to the brazen serpent were healed of their bites Number 21:9. Jesus went to the cross for you and if you refused to look on HIM on the cross where HE had been lifted, you may not be saved John 3:14-15. Again the bible said “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; WHO FOR THE JOY THAT WAS SET BEFORE HIM ENDURED THE CROSS, DESPISING THE SHAME, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” Hebrews 12:2. So, you look to Jesus for your own salvation.

Therefore, as John 3:16 said ‘whosoever’ gives a formidable situation that the grace of God that came through Jesus Christ for our salvation is premised on individual commitment to this cause. It is not a forced will on individual by God but a free will offering for sin for those who will accepts it in its entirety and wholeheartedness 1 John 4:9.  John 3: 16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Now, the offering for sin is LOVE 1 Peter 4:8 but, the rejection of this love will usher in judgment on those who rejects its free will offering thereby bringing upon themselves condemnation, as stated in John 3:18 “He that believeth on him is not condemned: BUT HE THAT BELIEVETH NOT IS CONDEMNED ALREADY, BECAUSE HE HATH NOT BELIEVED IN THE NAME OF THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.” This further outlined the miserable state of the unbelievers who refused to believe in Christ Jesus that, they are already condemned while still living. Think about walking corpses.

To avoid the fury judgment of God, we must therefore align ourselves with the LORD Jesus Christ, the offering for our redemption, who is the only saviour of the whole world. “For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; BUT THAT THE WORLD THROUGH HIM MIGHT BE SAVED” John 3:17. Jesus Christ HIMSELF make this clear to us during HIS earthly ministry when HE declared that “NO MAN COMETH UNTO THE FATHER, BUT BY ME” John 14:6. It further gives you an idea that, refusing to believe on Jesus Christ as your LORD and saviour is an invitation to be judged by God, who spared not HIS only begotten Son but delivered Him up for your redemption. Romans 8:32 “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”

To demonstrate that Jesus Christ remains the only way to eternity with God, the Apostle Peter in Acts 4:12 declared “NEITHER IS THERE SALVATION IN ANY OTHER (outside Jesus): FOR THERE IS NONE OTHER NAME (except Jesus name) UNDER HEAVEN GIVEN AMONG MEN, WHEREBY WE MUST BE SAVED.” In Philippians 2:9-11, it was further proven that only Jesus name that every knees bows to and every tongues confessed to because HE is highly exalted far above principalities and powers in heavenly places. HE is the only authority for the now and in the future for us the believers in Christ hallelujah! Ephesians 1:19 “And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.”

In examining John 3:16, we can confidently say that without believing in Jesus Christ, judgment abides with us as Jesus who is the only escape from this judgment has been pushed aside. May the LORD give us understanding today in Jesus name. Amen. To avoid the wrath (judgment) of God coming upon the children of disobedience Ephesians 5:6, you must believe on the LORD Jesus Christ and you shall be saved Acts 16:31.

Remember, the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men, teaching us that we’ve been redeemed from our iniquity through Jesus Christ that gave HIMSELF for us, thereby purified us into a peculiar people of HIS, who are now zealous for good works. Titus 2:11 “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.”

In conclusion, if you neglect this great salvation that God offered through Jesus Christ, you will never be able to escape the impending judgment of God. Hebrews 2:1 “Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. 2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 3 HOW SHALL WE ESCAPE, IF WE NEGLECT SO GREAT SALVATION; WHICH AT THE FIRST BEGAN TO BE SPOKEN BY THE LORD, AND WAS CONFIRMED UNTO US BY THEM THAT HEARD HIM; 4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, according to his own will?”

God is love 1 John 4:8, no doubt about that but HIS love will not overlook your disobedience when you fail to believe on Jesus Christ, whom HE sent to be the propitiation (atonement) for our sins 1 John 4:10.  Romans 10:13 “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
