God's Desire For All Men

GOD’S DESIRE FOR ALL MEN

1 timothy 2:1 “I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for ALL MEN;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 FOR THIS IS GOOD AND ACCEPTABLE IN THE SIGHT OF GOD OUR SAVIOUR;
4 WHO WILL HAVE ALL MEN TO BE SAVED, AND TO COME UNTO THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE TRUTH.
5 For there is one God, and ONE MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MEN, THE MAN CHRIST JESUS;
6 WHO GAVE HIMSELF A RANSOM FOR ALL, to be testified in due time.”

In John 3:16, the Bible says “For God so loved the world.” The world here implied all men irrespective of gender and nationality who inhabits this created world of GOD. Before salvation became a personal affair for whosoever desired the mercy of GOD by accepting JESUS CHRIST as his/her personal LORD and saviour, GOD’S foremost demonstration of His love was for all humanity. Therefore till date, GOD’S desire for all men is that none should perish despite the various works that men may have chosen to be involved, which mostly go against the purpose of GOD. “The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that ANY should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance.” 2 Peter 3:9. So, if you desire to be saved, the door is already opened for you by GOD, but He cannot force you to enter the door, you have to desire it yourself.

Now, most of us today have written off all other people outside the Christian faith and conclude that their end is hell. What effort are you making towards these people that are lost to the truth? Have GOD concluded that they can never be saved again? Men and brethren, all men are in the calendar of GOD and His desire is for all of them to be saved through CHRIST JESUS our LORD. Go and disciple the rapists, armed robbers, prostitutes, lesbians, homosexuals, cultists, suicidals and see them become a tool of revival to their likes and in no time, all men will get to know the LORD. But as much as you have locked the gate of salvation against these folks, how do you want them to come to the knowledge of JESUS CHRIST and be saved? GOD’S desire is for all men to be saved. “Who gave himself a ransom for ALL, to be testified in due time.” 1 Timothy 2:6.

“And he said unto them, GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD, and PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE.” Mark 16:15. Brethren, we can see that GOD’S desire for all men is to be saved, hence you that is truly born again is mandated to go into all the world and preach the gospel of SALVATION to every man, so that those who accept Him will not perish, but have eternal life in heaven, while those who refuse Him will face the wrath of GOD. “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” John 3:36. So, do not conclude that the Muslims, atheists, gays, and all sinners around the world today who have not come to the knowledge of JESUS CHRIST will not be saved. They are all in the calendar of GOD’S salvation plan for all men. Let them know that JESUS is the only way to get to heaven and never condemns them to hell. “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12.

Therefore, as GOD’S desire is for ALL MEN TO BE SAVED FROM SIN AND MAKE HEAVEN IN THE END OF THEIR LIVES HERE ON EARTH, what is your own desire towards these same people that GOD desired to be saved? “Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.” 1 Timothy 2:4. Do you want them to die in their sins or you want them saved and delivered from the power of sin? May GOD strengthen us to win more souls from the kingdom of Satan to the kingdom of GOD in JESUS name. Amen.
