KEEP NO COMPANY WITH FORNICATORS AND OTHERS

1 Corinthians 5:11 “But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a FORNICATOR, or COVETOUS, or an IDOLATER, or a RAILER, or a DRUNKARD, or an EXTORTIONER; with such an one no not to eat.”

The scripture above is very clear regarding those we should avoid fellowship with as Christians. This is because as much as the practitioners of these evil things refused to kill their flesh for the spirit Romans 6:11, they will ultimately rub on you because “a little leaven leaveneth the whole lump” Galatians 5:9. This is because they are not Christians at but mere people with form of godliness, who ultimate denies the power thereof. 2 Timothy 3:5 “Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: FROM SUCH TURN AWAY.”

It is however sad today that these company of people are the ones holding every sensitive position in the church of GOD, even though they know that despite their position and work in the church, they will never make heaven as they are all abominations unto GOD. Revelation 21:27 “And there shall in no wise enter into it any thing that defileth, NEITHER WHATSOEVER WORKETH ABOMINATION, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb's book of life.”

EXAMINING THEM ONE –BY-ONE

FORNICATOR

The dictionary meaning is: Someone who commits adultery or fornication.

In order to understand who is a fornicator better, let’s also see the meaning of fornication as spelt out in the dictionary too.

1. Voluntary sexual intercourse between persons not married to each other (which involve casual sex and boyfriend/girlfriend sexual relationship). Emphasis mine.

2. Extramarital sex that wilfully and maliciously interferes with marriage relations

From the definition of fornication above, we can see that whoever is engaging in sexual intercourse to a person he/she is NOT LEGALLY married to is a fornicator. Such a person will never enter heaven no matter how loving you take GOD to be as He (GOD) will never go back on His word Isaiah 55:11. If you are therefore a fornicator involving yourself in sexual activities when you are not married, or engaging in extra sexual affairs outside your legal marriage, please stop it now, repent and forsake it because it will surely lead you to hell.

The pleasure of sin is for a moment Job 20:5, but the consequences and reward for sin is everlasting punishment and eternal death Revelation 20:10; Romans 6:23. The choice is yours anyway. 1 Corinthians 6:9 “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither FORNICATORS…”

COVETOUS

Definitions:

1. Strongly wanting someone else's position, advantages or possessions

2. Immoderately desirous of acquiring e.g. wealth

A covetous man is a person that lacks contentment. Contentment with godliness the Bible says is a great gain 1 Timothy 6:6. A covetous fellow does not only feels unsatisfied with his personal achievements and possessions, but he equally wished that what other people possessed are all his, hence he will ordinarily engaged in schism and mischievous activities to outdo and undo one another. The senior brother of covetousness is GREED. Don’t forget their twin sisters called envy and jealousy. A covetous person is a greedy person as you can never separate them from each other. The Bible lovingly advised us to “be content with such things as ye have” Hebrews 13:5.

If you are therefore a covetous fellow, know it today that your appetite for anything you don’t have or want to have more is insatiable Ecclesiastes 5:10. Repent from covetousness now because it will surely lead you to hell fire. Again, the choice is yours. 1 Corinthians 6:9 “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor COVETOUS…”

IDOLATER

Definition: A person who worships idols

The ALMIGHTY GOD warned us so sternly declaring “Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;” Exodus 20:3-5. The jealousy of GOD will never allow Him to overlook anyone that tried making another god outside the ALMIGHTY GOD. However, most people think today that only those that directly worship caved images of wood, stones and other fetish things are idol worshippers. No, this is not true. A lot of people don’t actually have any physical idol they worship, but they have innumerable idols stationed in every corner of their hearts. They worship those idols ignorantly. Others on the other hand have made their beauty, achievements, possession, position, wealth etc their idols. They don’t only worship these things themselves; they equally seduce others to worship them too. Again, whatever habits you hold so tenaciously without letting go, even for the sake of your soul and heaven is an idol. Even in the church, bowing down to the image of Jesus and Mary is pure idolatry; the putting of handkerchief in water and drinking same; the use of ‘special olive oil’; the placing of calendars and making incantations to these things are all idol worship. Idol worshippers of any kind, please repent of all your idolatry as this will surely lead you to hell fire. Meanwhile, it is still your choice to make. 1 Corinthians 6:9 “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor IDOLATERS…”

RAILER

Definitions:

1. Spread negative information about

2. Criticize severely

3. Complain bitterly

I have seen people, who, though they lack the knowledge about a particular person as to what such a person actually represents, they usually end up spreading malicious and damnable information about the person, riding and building on what they were told or taught. In fact, when it comes to criticising such a person, they will throw caution to the wind as a result of the misleading information at their disposal, and when you attempt bringing them to their senses as brethren, they will become bitter at you judging that you've backslided. Railers, you are doing yourself a great harm because you are heading to hell if you fail to repent from this wickedness. Railers are in the same camp with argumentators and debaters. They lack self-control and as such, they can never bridle their tongue. Thank GOD that such peoples’ professed Christianity is vain. James 1:26 “If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.”

Well, whichever thing you choose to do, it is your choice to either make heaven or hell. Be warned and repent from your railing today. 1 Corinthians 6:9 “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor REVILERS (railers)…”

DRUNKARD

Definition: A person who drinks alcohol to excess habitually

This is one of the most controversial issues in the Christendom today. A lot of people justify this ungodliness using 1Timothy 5:23 to back their inordinate habit of drunkenness, even though Paul used the word ‘wine’ in respect to Timothy’s stomach upset at the time. The verse reads “Drink no longer water, BUT USE A LITTLE WINE FOR THY STOMACH'S SAKE AND THINE OFTEN INFIRMITIES.” It suggests here that Paul commanded Timothy to use a little wine to deal with the prevailing stomach troubles and be relieved. However, those Christians who indulge in habitual drinking of not just wine, but strong drink have no reason of doing so, except to wine themselves and feel on top of the world among their unbelieving and unsaved friends. Therefore, every Sunday after their church service, and on Fridays after their work, they will find themselves in beer parlours to unwind and drink themselves to stupor at times. Those that buy and drink their beer at home argues that provided they are not drinking to get drunk and in as much it is not excess, there’s nothing wrong with such. My friend, Satan has deceived you too much. Please repent now and stop all your consumption of alcoholic substances no matter the distance between your drinking space or the number of bottles involved at a time, because whether it is one bottle per month you are taking, you are a defiled person and therefore, you will definitely miss heaven but you can’t miss hell.

If you are therefore in the school of thought thinking that drinking and consumption of alcoholic beverages are not wrong in the sight of GOD, please, consider these few scriptures below and make your judgment to know the truth, hence only the truth shall make you free John 8:32.

DOES THESE BIBLE VERSES APPROVES OR DISAPPROVED DRUNKENNES?

1. Proverbs 31:4 “It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:”

2. Habakkuk 2:15 “Woe unto him that giveth his neighbour drink, that puttest thy bottle to him, and makest him drunken also, that thou mayest look on their nakedness!”

3. Proverbs 23:31 “Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, when it moveth itself aright.”

4. Isaiah 5:22 “Woe unto them that are mighty to drink wine, and men of strength to mingle strong drink:”

5. Isaiah 5:11 “Woe unto them that rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; that continue until night, till wine inflame them!”

6. Proverbs 20:1 “Wine is a mocker, strong drink is raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.”

7. Luke 1:15 “For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.”

8. Proverbs 31:6 “Give strong drink unto him that is ready to perish, and wine unto those that be of heavy hearts.”

As you examined these passages above, I pray that you will get the understanding of who a drunkard is in JESUS name. Amen. EXTORTIONER

Definition: A criminal who extorts money from someone by threatening to expose embarrassing information about them (better known as blackmailer). Emphasis mine.

Anyone that always wants something in return before offering legitimate service is an extortionist. A lot of people conclude that only people that take and collect bribe to evade punishment by offenders e.g Policemen on road block collecting bribe from motorists, and government officials requesting for kickback before files are collected and submitted by applicants as the people that extort from others. This is very wrong.

It might interest you to know that today, Christian married women are guilty of extortion. Some women are fund of extorting money and other things from their husbands, as they assume that the only way for them to get whatever they want from their husbands is by extortion. Therefore, when a man is about to perform his responsibility over the wife in sexual affairs, the wife will demand that until certain conditions are met, she can never allow her legal husband have access to her. Friend, this is not only ungodly but you are playing with the fire of hell. If you are involved in this wickedness, please repent now.

Likewise, some children are not also left out in this wickedness. They now demands that unless they are given something, they will never go to those errands for their elders. Parents, please teach your children the way of the LORD, good morals and genuine service so that they will not depart from it as they grow up. Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

In all of these things however, it is still your choice to make. 1 Corinthians 6:9 “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, 10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor EXTORTIONERS…”

If you are therefore dreaming of making heaven at your death, you must repent of all your sins, accept JESUS CHRIST into heart as your personal LORD and saviour, live a holy and righteous life, be sanctified and hate sin and sinful appearances with passion. Serve the LORD daily with singleness of heart and obey all His commandments and it shall be well with you.

10 NOR THIEVES, NOR COVETOUS, NOR DRUNKARDS, NOR REVILERS, NOR EXTORTIONERS, SHALL INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD.

11 AND SUCH WERE SOME OF YOU: BUT YE ARE WASHED, BUT YE ARE SANCTIFIED, BUT YE ARE JUSTIFIED IN THE NAME OF THE LORD JESUS, AND BY THE SPIRIT OF OUR GOD.”
